Robert Schmansky, MA, CFP® has over a decade of experience helping individuals and families meet their financial goals and overcome money concerns.
Rob began his career with a financial planning firm specializing in investment management and tax planning for senior corporate management. He subsequently worked as an investment advisor for one of the nations largest independent investment management firms before founding Clear Financial Advisors.
Rob is frequently quoted in the media, including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, ABC News, SmartMoney, CNN Money, Reuters, Detroit Free Press, Chicago Tribune, Dow Jones Newswires, MarketWatch, National Public Radio, and other publications.
Rob earned a B.S. in human ecology with a major of family resource management and a M.A. in economics. He is a CERTIFIED FINANICAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional, and is a trained educator in the Garrett Financial Education Alliance (GFEA).
Rob has been an adjunct instructor of global economics and the required courses for candidates to sit for the CFP® examination. He has been a contributing writer to NAPFA's Fee-Only Planner blog at Forbes and FPA's All Things Financial Planning blog, as well as other publications; an investment expert for FiLife, a former Dow Jones/IAC joint Internet venture; and a Featured Contributor for Yahoo! Finance.
In his free time, Rob enjoys coaching youth lacrosse, jogging, and reading fiction, history and biographies.
